Summary

As a Data Engineer at MasterControl you will be a member of a team that enables the delivery of a broad range of data services. Activities include bulk data migration for the extraction, transformation and load of data to/from the MasterControl Cloud technology stack, manipulation/transformation of data within a MasterControl environment. The position will support the adoption of our data services by ensuring a successful delivery of data driven solutions, and in defining and adopting best-in-class practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conduct and complete analysis, planning and requirements gathering for ETL projects

* Design and develop supporting ETL scripts/tools for the execution of ETL engagements with customers.

* Strong troubleshooting mindset to triage data export/import related issues through to resolution.

* Maintain and/or improve appropriate toolset and infrastructure to support data engineering services.

* Follow data governance documentation methods and quality assurance requirements for data services.

* Maintain the data governance framework to current regional and global data privacy regulations.

* Participate in the approval process for statements of work, solution proposals, pricing schematics and overall client facing solutions.

* Engage and communicate with customers to define roadmap, monitor success, garner insight, ensure goals are being achieved, thereby creating a more meaningful experience with MasterControl

* Support the Data Engineering Manager in maintaining a strong team culture.

* Participate with team members in accordance with department objectives.

* Maintain a pulse on release and new product features and functions to ensure data services offerings remain aligned with product capabilities.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

* Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and methodologies (Alteryx, SSIS, Talend)

* Knowledge of SQL with a common RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, MySql)

* Knowledge of development in HTML/Javascript

* Knowledge of utilizing version control systems (SVN, GIT preferred)

* Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts, methodologies, tools, and applications.

* Knowledge of PowerShell, XCopy, RoboCopy and/or Other File copy/extraction protocols

* Strong organizational and project management skills.

* Detail oriented mindset
