Our very successful client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician with experience in a Semi-conductor manufacturing environment, working and repairing all machines. The types of machines worked on are : EPI, Implanters, Wet benches, Vacuum Chambers and Diffusion Furnaces
The Equipment Engineering function has responsibility for all maintenance and repair of manufacturing, process and product equipment. The role encompasses Mechanical, Electronic and Electrical disciplines.
Mechanical Technicians support the Wafer Fabrication manufacturing area and are required to work on equipment ranging from intricate mechanical sequencing and vacuum technology to state of the art silicon test equipment. Microscopes are used in set up of some equipment.
You will be responsible for the following:-
* To achieve the optimisation of equipment availability by way of reactive attendance to unscheduled lost time, upgrades and projects.
* To carry out fault finding activities and implement any repair required
* Ensure all spares and ordered and stock maintained
* To be involved in preventative maintenance and its scheduling.
* To actively participate in the team's involvement in improvement projects and their implementation and planning.
* Plan any improvements or changes in response to requirements of internal customers.
* Liaison with both sub-contractors and suppliers.
Hours of work:-
37.5 per/week, Rotating Shift Pattern
6:00am to 2:00pm
2:00pm to 10:00pm
