We are looking for a Site Support Engineer to join an industry leading business on the outskirts of Derby, the role is located very close to the M1.
The position its self will be varied and no 2 days are the same, so if you are looking for a role that offers variety this is the position for you,
Job Requirements
* Undertake planned maintenance activities on control and automation systems across several sites through out the UK
* Involves periods away from home, nights and some weekends
* Undertake fault rectification activities
* Participate in an on call rota
* Respond to reactive maintenance callouts
* Produce fault/maintenance reports
* Applicant must be able to drive as the job involves driving to various sites
* The applicant should expect to be on-site Qualifications
* HND or higher in an electrical based subject (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics etc.)
Technical Skills/Experience
* Installation, modification and fault finding control panels and associated sensors etc.
* Writing and fault finding PLC software written in ladder, function block and structured text
* Creating and fault finding SCADA systems
* Creating and fault finding HMI systems
* Configuring and fault finding industrial Ethernet networks
* ?? Including ring/spanning tree topologies
* ?? Including VLANs
* VMWare virtualisation
* Good general IT skills
* Competent with Microsoft Office Physical Characteristics
* Must be reasonably fit
* Must be prepared to work outside
* Must be prepared to get hands on
* Calm under pressure
* Persistent
* Excellent communication skills
* The job will require working at height on occasion
* The Job will require confined space access on occasion
On offer is a Salary of GBP21,000 to GBP38,000 dependent on experience plus an enhanced holiday package plus Laptop & Phone
