Great career enhancement opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a Global Electronics Manufacturing Services provider (EMS). Based in the Cambridgeshire facility you will be joining an established and experienced procurement team.
As the Senior Buyer your remit will include, Reviews and analysis of purchase requisitions. Coordinating purchasing activities with relevant departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
You will obtain quotations from vendors, ensuring components are purchased and expedited for production requirements.
You will be performing cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.G. Material, components). Monitoring the cost schedule and scope of assigned subcontractors to negotiable highest quality and best value. Developing new supplier sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive, recommending cost saving proposals.
The Senior Buyer position is both exciting and challenging and if you have a proven track record in Purchasing ideally with CIPS qualification or similar. With experience gained within an electronics manufacture( EMS or CEM) have a working knowledge of MRP or similar with first class negotiation, and communication skills I would like to hear from you.
