Long term (6 months+) temporary opportunity reporting to the Head of Finance for an Assistant Accountant to join a leading business in Grimsby.
The role is best suited to a part qualified or Qualified By Experience accountant with good technical finance skills who can manage complex reconciliations and support the regular management and financial reporting for a large entity.
Duties of the role include:
Support the production of monthly results
Assist with treasury functions including bank reconciliations
Regular government and statutory reporting
Ownership of the monthly manual journal entries process
Monthly VAT returns
Supporting ongoing project and process improvement workThe business is looking for a diligent, reliable assistant accountant who can commit to a long term temporary opportunity in a small and high performing team. Specific experience the hiring manager is looking for includes good MS Excel skills, advanced reconciliations skills and the ability to support complex month end processes in an international environment.
