Assystem are recruiting for an IT Solutions Architect to join our customers team on a long term 18 month contract to support the delivery of key projects in Derby. The successful candidate will need to understand and communicate the role and impact of Technology within the Product Team and the implications of new technologies.

Hours: 37 hours + per week (flexible start and finish times)
Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella

Key Accountabilities:

Interpretation of business requirements to enable and guide design of integrated solutions meeting current and future backlog items
Lead design of architecture within the product team for integrated solutions in line with enterprise architectural standards, reference architectures and enterprise roadmaps across data, Infrastructure, process and service
Ensure applicable standards are adhered to in terms of design and documentation of the product solutions
Provide advice on technical aspects of systems development and integration in line with technical strategies, standards etc.
Focus on 'how' related to designing a highly functional user experience
In product designs focus on user experience and automation
Design stories to improve user experience, user interfaces and automation across the agile team
Shared ownership for supporting and monitoring the products (Product/Application Support Level 2)

Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:

Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with chartered status preferred
Demonstrates technical leadership in complex technical and/or professional work activities, including the analysis of designs, delivery options and plans
Experience of leading and working in a global business environment and managing distributed teams
Has good business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s)Ability to undertake work which requires the application of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts
Advises on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives
Development of the skills of their team, ensuring they are up to date with industry developments.
Absorbs technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences
Actively seeks to understand the implications of new technologies and industry developments, communicating the opportunity and impact to the team
