Responsible to - Facilities support supervisors/ Facilities support Manager

Contract type- Temp

Purpose of the post- Ultimately your role will be to help the Chef/Chef De Parties and other kitchen staff in order to meet the rising demand in our Cafes.

Job brief

Ajcatering staff are looking for an ambitious, creative, and professional chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and amaze the customers with your excellent cooking skills according to the chef's recipes and specifications.

You work will be especially important for our customers satisfaction and excellent culinary experience.

Responsibilities

* Take care of daily food preparations and duties for which the head Chef has assigned you to carry out

* Follow the instructions and recommendations from the Head chef to complete the daily tasks

* Ensure that the produce and the presentation are of the highest quality

* Ensure you have full awareness of the whole menu, their recipes and presentation standards

* Follow good preservation standards for the proper handling of food

* Suggest new ways in presenting dishes

* Always ensure adequate level of supplies and report any shortages immediately

* Follow the directions of the head chef and sous chef

* You are personally responsible for your own hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment.

* Report any malfunctions with the equipment straight away.

* Work closely with other colleagues ensuing effective communication and a good friendly working environment

* Have a excellent knowledge of creating a menu whilst ensuring quality and cost are not??????.

* Ensure stock rotation and expiry dates and that the items are properly stored.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Chef De Partie

* Outstanding use of variable cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes

* Ability to multitask

* Ability to work well under pressure

* Excellent time management skills

* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Knowledge of the best and latest cooking skills

* Culinary cooking qualifications
