Then you have the right traits to join our team at Affinity Trust! We are looking for an experienced support worker to join our opportunity team, supporting adults within the community of Hereford and supporting them in a variety of activities.
Our main building is located in the centre of Hereford, but we have just taken on additional site in Hereford from April 2021 temporarily, to be able to continue supporting people within the current restrictions from both locations.

About The Role
* Help the people you're supporting become more involved in their communities
* Support people socially and to enjoy hobbies and activities, like Bowls, Skittles, Dance/Drama, Yoga, Martial Arts, 10 pin bowling, pool, swimming and a wider range of other leisure activities
* Promoting social inclusion within the day centre setting and out in the community

We are looking to recruit staff that could provide cover Monday to Friday 9:00am - 3:30pm. The successful applicant will have access to regular hours.
What skills and experience do I need?
Essential
* Candidates that are adventurous, friendly, encouraging, supportive, respectful, and resourceful
* People that share our values
* Good level of spoken & written communication
* Previous experience supporting in the sector
Desirable
* Full UK driving licence preferred (with parking available on site), if you are a non-driver you must be willing and able to travel between the two locations
* You should have a good knowledge and understanding of the practices surrounding PPE equipment and COVID safety regulations.

At Affinity Trust, all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability or mental health needs.
