Our client is a major and successful organisation and is one of the top performing companies in their sector within the UK, serving a substantial number of customers across the region. It is part of a large Group, which comprises a number of other companies, including engineering and construction, property development and waste management and renewable energy services.

They now have an opportunity for a Junior / Trainee Administrator to join their busy team. They are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn new skills, and an eye for detail.

You will need to adopt a methodical approach and prioritise your workload to ensure that you deliver excellent service throughout the company.

This is a varied role that involves supporting the business needs by delivering accurate and detailed administration support, efficiently and professionally, whilst also developing your own strong administration skills.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver exceptional customer service, providing helpful advice by telephone, letter and email

* Distribute copies of plans and application forms as required

* Administer and acknowledge all new applications and correspondence

* Process credit card transactions and record incoming payments

* Maintain accurate and full records of all correspondence via the in-house systems

* Produce confined spaces permit cards for approved contractors

* Following company policy and procedure to ensure that targets are met

* Build strong working relationships with external and internal customers

* Schedule CCTV and visitor appointments

* Working to team and individual objectives.

Background:

* A good standard of education, minimum 5 GCSE's grade C or above including English and maths

* The ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with colleagues and customers

* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

* A willingness to adapt and respond to change

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Ability to prioritise workload.

* Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft Office

* Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

* Self-driven, confident, and highly organised.

* Willingness to learn and develop

This role is initially, a 6-month fixed term contract, after which it will be subject to review. Monday to Friday, office hours, 40 hours per week.
