Assistant Chef
Salary - GBP16,345 p/a (full time Equivalent) or GBP17,421 p/a (full time equivalent) if over 23 Years Old
Locations:
Shrewsbury (The Coppice)
Telford (Oakwood)
Cannock (The Longford Centre)
Hours: Part time 30 hours per week, covering a rota from Monday to Sunday

ShireLiving is a premium housing brand offering luxury apartments and facilities for the over 55s age group. Our aim is to create a hotel-standard environment for tenants.
Our developments are attractive, modern buildings that allow tenants to live independently in modern apartments, with the convenience of having all the help and support they need on their doorstep and the added benefit of being part of a friendly community.
Our aim is to provide a range of services on-site that match the needs of residents. These services include catering facilities, which cover the following:
Breakfast and lunch service in our attractive, on-site cafes - open to residents, their friends and families, and the local community
Individual catering packages for tenants, with room service where required
Event catering for social activitiesOur tenants remain at the heart of every ShireLiving development, and we expect all staff to deliver the same standard of exceptional customer service.
The role:
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who can support the Chef Manager to deliver the catering service and cook traditional homemade, quality nutritious food for our customers.
If you have excellent people skills, hold a current level 2 food hygiene certificate and can work as part of a team then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
The successful applicant must have experience working in a customer facing environment. The successful applicant may also have an IT qualification and an NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin or equivalent.

The successful applicants will play a leading role in in being the 'face' of the ShireLiving. You will require excellent organisational and presentation skills and a passion for producing quality food. Successful candidates will be expected to engage with our tenants and visitors as well as colleagues and suppliers so excellent communication skills are also a must. The roles require people to be able to adapt to the needs of our customers.
You will be working in a demanding and fast-paced environment, so you must be a conscientious and hard-working individual who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service.
Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times.
You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS Check.
Interviews will take place week commencing the 24th May 2021.
