A global manufacturing business who provide network solutions to its customers are recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner in Glenrothes, Fife. This is a permanent full-time position to help the production planning team optimize manufacturing resources and materials, to satisfy customer demand.
Commutable from: Glenrothes, Thornton, Kirkcaldy, Muiredge, Kinross, Bandon, Lathrisk
Salary: GBP 25,000 p.a. - GBP30,000 p.a. plus a wealth of company benefits
The Role of Supply Chain Planner:
Review requests and orders from customer service and provide confirmed stock availability for customer orders based on labour and material availability.
Monitor forecasts, sales, inventory and manufacturing schedule achievement against target performance levels and take appropriate action to maintain service level and product availability.
Create achievable supply plans balancing production load with material and capacity constraints, identifying future requirements.
Maintain production orders to ensure ERP and other business systems are accurate and up to date.
Review material requirements with procurement support to satisfy the supply plan, identifying risk to material shortages.
The Person:
Experienced in a production planning or supply chain position, within a manufacturing business
Able to produce weekly reports for planning and operational departments
Have experience in a production planning role, utilising ERP and Excel system work
A analytical and numerical thinker who has worked on MRP systems
Be an effective team player who can work logically and methodically
