An exciting opportunity has come up for a motivated and passionate Assistant Operations Manager based in Manchester City centre for a premium aparthotel brand. Our client is a new market leading accommodation provider for the business traveller, they are looking for highly driven and service focused managers who have experience within aparthotels / hotels or from within retail or hospitality who are looking for a new and exciting career.

In this role you will be working closely with the Operations Manager and Operations Director to oversee the day to day running of a brand new building. You will be responsible for consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, dynamic, and an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about hospitality. With previous hospitality experience, you will need the abilities to plan, organise, direct and co-ordinate activities to accomplish business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER SERVICE

* Deliver and help drive excellent and consistent customer service.
* Ensure that the total appearance of the building create a professional impression to all.
* Work with the Operations Manager taking on the responsibility of the operations of the building from compliance to standards and service.
* Review and act upon customer feedback to help achieve best in class ratings.

BUSINESS AWARENESS

* Take accountability for the total operation of the residence in the absence of the Operations Manager and Operations Director.
* Play your part in helping achieve brand goals and objectives whilst delivering budgeted profit and targets.
* Be fully aware of and strictly adhere to all Health & Safety and Compliance policies and procedures.

PEOPLE

* Work with the Operations Manager and Heads of Department to help motivate and drive the team to success.
* Help create an open culture for all, promoting employee morale and communication.
* Work with the Operations Manager to ensure effective communication between all departments.
* Ensure all training is completed.
* Continuously coach and counsel team members.
* Train team members to ensure company standards are met.

GENERAL

* Always provide a professional and friendly service throughout the residence.
* Operate all IT systems in line with Company requirements.
* Undertake any other reasonable projects as required by the Operations Manager or Operations Director to grow and improve the business.
Experience:
* Previous experience in retail or hospitality.
* Proven ability to lead and drive performance through teams.
* Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills.
