In this role you will play a key part in the integration, start-up, operation and service of our brand new automated production cell.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Provide technical expertise for the integration, programming, assistance and service of the production cell, including planning/writing of programming code where required.

* Provide robotics technical support & training to colleagues, drive programming standards & lead any future programming requirements.

* Attend NPI project meetings, design reviews & provide technical feedback to improve new project introduction in any stage of the process.

* Work with production to identify and rectify any issues once the project has been launched.

* Work with all robot programmers to transfer any new technical information that has been received or learned in role or via training.

* Establish any routine maintenance requirements & develop standards to ensure these are maintained in order to reduce production downtime.

The Person:

Essential

* Degree or equivalent with extensive specialised robotics training.

* Minimum 5 years automation/robotic experience (ABB, KUKA essential)

* Willing to travel overseas

* Experience of collaborative robots

* PLC programming skills.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and confidently.

* Flexible and adaptable in approach with the ability to learn quickly.

* Methodical and able to co-ordinate work to meet time scales and budgets.

* Active problem solver who owns problems and sees them as their challenge until an effective solution is found.

* Meticulous with an eye for detail yet able to see the broader picture.

Desirable

* Laser cutting experience an advantage
