HR / Payroll Administrator based in Southend GBP24/25K

Your new company
A Manufacturing company based near Southend requires a HR / Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis to work with the HR Manager and manage the full administration process for HR and Payroll. Due to the nature of the work this role requires onsite working. Working hours are Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00

Your new role

* Processing starters and leavers
* Coordinating employee attendance; monitoring and processing annual leave & other absence
* Daily clocking reports; running and passing to Production
* maintain personnel records (electronically & manually)
* Manage HR mailbox and co-ordinate responses to enquiries
* Manage internal employee headcount records, communicate weekly amendments
* Manage the meeting & training rooms access/booking system
* Issuing replacement swipe cards, maintaining associated records
* Responding to Data issues and undertaking periodical organising and archiving of data / records in line with Data Protection guidelines

* Payroll Administration:
* Daily clocking amends
* Calculate and process wages for weekly paid staff: Shift pattern processing,Bonuses / Additional ad-hoc payments
* Keeping records for:Inland Revenue - processing P6s, checking PAYE records
* Court Orders - ensuring DOEs are set up, paid & maintained
* Identify, raise paperwork and implement length of service increases, calculating adjustments where required
* End of year payroll routines and return (P60, P35).
* P45, P46 including paperwork
* To run Auto-Enrolment and to administer the scheme; ensuring any relevant in-house and statutory records and reports are run, accurate and maintained
* Calculating and processing, including relevant correspondence for SSP, SMP, SPP
* Updating payroll system; starters, leavers, change of details etc
* End of year payroll routines and return (P60, P6)
* Ensuring records relating to pay are securely filed electronically or within paper files (including paperwork trails which stop at Payroll, EG Fit Notes, change to terms forms, etc)
* Annual activities such as pay increases

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will be experienced in administering HR activities and monthly Payroll. You will be able to work autonomously and be solution orientated and inquisitive with an appetite to continually review and develop systems and processes. You will be methodical, accurate and highly organised with excellent attention to detail
An ability to multi-task and prioritise a consistently heavy workload. Excellent IT skills are essential including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with a windows-based Payroll system (such as Pegasus Opera); and a Time & Attendance or HR software platform would be advantageous
