Job Setting
One of the UK's leading healthcare organisations requires a dedicated Staff Nurse to work within one of their Rehab focussed nursing homes in Glasgow. This centre specialises in supporting residents towards rehabilitation and recovery. Multidisciplinary services, including psychiatrists, psychologists and primary care services are accessed within the local area as required.
Residents are encouraged to utilise community facilities and to participate in local groups where applicable. In-house, the rehabilitation facilities gives residents opportunities to improve or maintain activities of daily living such as shopping, budgeting and cooking.
Staff Nurse Skills and responsibilities
Monitoring blood sugar levels and IV
Wound management
Administering oxygen
Putting together treatment plans
Overseeing a team of care assistants
Liaising with GP and multi-disciplinary team
