We are looking for a Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing plant in Blackburn. You will be a part of the production and assembly of quality uPVC products through machining, tooling and joinery processes. It's an exciting time to be joining us at GAP as we are expanding quickly and looking for driven and self-motivated individuals to help us reach our goals.

The Role:

To ensure daily production schedule is complete
To ensure that SOPs are followed in full (procedural instruction for each job function)
Visual stock monitoring of components & stock out reported to manager
To comply to H&S practices
To ensure all paperwork/records completed
To ensure that work area/ site is kept clean, clear and hazard free
To work competently as a team
To comply to company rules and policies
Comply with all government/ Company H&S and ISO requirements
To ensure all products are assembled to highest standard of quality
Work with team and management to maximise productivity and efficiency
Ensure all production is performed /completed in accordance with specification, instructions and individual requirements.
Report all accidents and machine breakdowns
Carry out basic housekeeping and machine maintenance, greasing etc
To work in other departmental areas dependent on staff & business needs

Skills and Experience:

Excellent health and safety practices and knowledge
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Able to work in a multi-site and multi-disciplined team
Able to work to details and within given tolerances and measurements
Awareness of PPE requirements
Experience of various PVCu fabrication methods and procedures both manual and automated
Familiarity of CNC machinery and modern manufacturing techniques
