Salary dependent on experience
To work across our customers and suppliers and manage the corporate & social responsibility initiatives that customers request, and suppliers must adhere to.
Key responsibilities & duties
* Maintain the SEDEX platform, ensuring all suppliers are registered and have completed the appropriate level of compliance against customer requirements.
* Coordinate the booking of ethical audits with suppliers at the request of customer.
* Follow up with sites following their ethical audit, and ensure non-conformances are closed out in an appropriate manner in line with expectations and in a timely manner. Support and mentor where required.
* Update and maintain the customer trackers and communicate with the customers on audit performance of their supplying sites.
* Have total responsibility for the Food Waste reduction initiatives currently in place with suppliers, customers, and 3rd party service providers.
* Management of the Carbon Reduction initiatives with the supplying sites, and in line with customer expectations.
* Ensure retailer ethical standards are communicated to the supplying sites, and policies and procedures are embraced within their management system.
* Keep abreast of emerging and topical Corporate & Social Responsibility challenges within the supply chain and communicate with suppliers and customers alike on how this will impact on either business.
* Engage with customers and external professional bodies on topical ethical matters. Communicate implications internally and externally with suppliers.
* Update and maintain Fullers ethical policies and procedures i.e., Modern Slavery Statement, Labour Policies, Ethical Policies etc.
* Engage with customers on plastic reduction, recyclability of packaging materials used and sustainable packing solutions.
* Manage the sustainable palm oil programme with suppliers.
* Ad Hoc duties that may be periodically required as business needs dictate.
Experience
* Experience of managing ethical management programmes.
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Strong sense of customer service
* Good organisational skills
* A pro-active team member
* Computer Literate in excel, word and outlook
* Experience of working within a food environment
