Central Employment are working with a global pharmaceutical manufacturing specialist, who provide process development, R&D and world-class research. They have a new opportunity for a SAP Application Lead, joining their growing internal IT function in Teesside.

The role is offering an immediate start date, on an initial 18 month contract.

Purpose of the SAP Applications Lead:

You will be part of a newly established Application team within the IT Department, this is a temp positions for 18 months. The SAP Lead will report to the SAP Manager and ensure the current SAP ECC6 system and users continue to be supported prior to transition to SAP S4 Hana. This includes key ECC6 change projects, and all compliance activities.

Main duties:

* Ensure SAP system high availability, and escalate to 3rd parties when issues require resolution.

* Maintain system security, and validated system status, including Service reviews & Compliance Reviews.

* Provide SAP application technical support and troubleshooting support for incidents and problem resolution, liaising with users and external support until satisfactorily resolved and closed out.

* Liaison with external functional consultants regarding change requests and assessing proposed solutions.

* Understand Functional Specifications.

* Able to document and review test scripts and support user acceptance testing.

* Foster team commitment and influence key individuals inside and outside of own group.

* Manage SAP changes / change projects and help to coordinate cutover activities, transports, transition and post production support.

* Compliance with change control procedures to ensure all changes are logged, assessed for GMP / business impact and tracked to satisfactory completion. Ensure change controls & system
reviews are carried out within agreed targets.

* Understand Data Integrity and the implications for e-systems including GDPR & Computer Systems Validation

Essential experience:

* At least 3 years' experience of working with SAP in a regulated environment.

* Excellent functional and technical knowledge of SAP - ideally including MM/IM/WM/FI/CO modules.

* 1st Line support /SAP Help Desk experience.

* Proficient with Microsoft office suite.

* Experience of collaborating and maintaining relationships with staff in other functions, sites, companies.

* Experience of change management and software testing procedures.

* Experience in writing user guides / instructions and delivering end user training
