The Production Manager vacancy is a day's based position working with a UK market leader in their field, manufacturing high volume products that are critical to the everyday infrastructure of the UK. Within the position, you will be responsible for helping to develop a strategic site within our client's manufacturing portfolio taking the plant from good to great. Working with a highly willing and enthusiastic team in the Leicester area you will seek to drive improvement activities across all plant operations, following a period of significant CAPEX investment across their operations, including new production lines and automated machinery.
Within the position, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams of multi-function production workers across manufacturing operations, within a market-leading and multi-site manufacturing business. In the position, you will be responsible for 2 factories, 3 team leaders, and circa 20/25 employees.
What's on offer as Production Manager
The position will be working days - Monday to Friday for the first 6 months, prior to moving to a day-based continental shift pattern, g. 4 on - 4 off, 5 on 5 off, DAYS from 6am to 6pm. - NO NIGHTS
Salary - GBP45k per annum, plus pension up to 11% company contribution, benefits package (cycle to work scheme, child care vouchers, etc, accredited training, and extensive career development opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience of Production Manager:
Demonstrable managerial experience within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrable organizational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures, HSE - Health and Safety, Quality Systems, Lean Manufacturing - 5s, etc.
Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem-solving techniques, provide solutions and delegate responsibility.
