NRSWA Inspector
Salary: up to GBP30,000 + Van and Fuel Card
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am-5.00pm
Location: Aylesbury, HP20 1UA

We are looking for a NRSWA Inspector to join our highway maintenance team in Aylesbury. The NRSWA Inspector
will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all aspects of NRSWA and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to ensure that disruption is minimised on Buckinghamshire's road network. This role involves time spent outdoors and travelling across the network in various weather conditions to undertake inspections in line with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will be NRSWA accredited however we are open to offering development to candidates with previous enforcement or conflict management experience.

The successful candidate will have;

* Previous highway inspection experience including ability to handle conflict
* NRSWA Accredited
* Proven ability to collect accurate asset and defect information
* Knowledge of NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, CDM and Health & Safety
* Good geographical knowledge of Buckinghamshire area
* Competent MS Office user + ability to use various software (Confirm)

You would be responsible for;

* Carrying out and recording inspections at all stages of the construction cycle, and be able to instigate the defect procedure for non-compliance
* Being fully conversant with Streetworks packages, and have the ability to manipulate data in such packages
* Supervision of civil engineering contracts, and road opening and reinstatement procedures
* Ensuring the requirements of the Roadworks Permit Scheme are adhered to
* Gathering and collating evidence in relation to the enforcement of NRSWA, TMA Acts
* Attending Local and County meetings
* Liaising with members of the public, Area Office Staff, Local Councils, other County Council Departments and other authorities on matters related to NRSWA and TMA
