Our client based in Aylesbury is currently looking to recruit a Chemistry Graduate, to join them on a permanent basis as a Laboratory Technician.
This is a great opportunity to work in a bespoke laboratory with state of the art equipment where you will be testing and reporting on raw materials along with quality control working in R&D.
The aim of this role is provide Quality Control service to the Production Team to ensure the Formulae are appropriately managed and to conduct Sampling of material batches for QC prior to shipping. There will also be an opportunity to work alongside the Technical Manager for R&D and NPI.
Key areas of responsibility:
Quality control:
* Assisting with appropriate documentation relating to TDS & Formulation
* In the absence of Management - make the final decision in relation to Batch - Batch quality
* QC for raw materials and finished goods
* Record keeping
* Investigating end-user complaints
Team Work:
* Able to exchange information with Technical Manager on industry developments and to share such developments or solutions
* Work closely with other departments
* Train relevant production staff
R&D / NPI:
* research and development of products based on feedback
* research on new or alternative raw materials, monitoring effectiveness / cost
This role would suit a graduate looking to secure a role following their studies and relevant to said degree, previous work experience in similar setting would be advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in handling or mixing chemicals would also be useful.
Salary is GBP22,400 to start, with 20 days holiday + Bank holidays being offered.
Hours are Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730
