We are now looking for Production Operatives to join the busy Production Team on a temporary basis (3 months+), undertaking aspects of the manufacturing and packaging processes, always ensuring a focus on safety, quality and hygiene to ensure our customers receive the best possible products.
Starting rates:
We work on a 4 on, 4 off shift rotation, from 7am to 7pm
What's Involved?

* Using cutting, mixing equipment
* Packing
* Making product
* Topping product
* Use of ovens
* Use of moving equipment such as trolleys
* Fetching raw materials for production, ensuring compliance to stock rotation

Complying with all company policies and procedures
Cleaning as you go at all times to help ensure high standards of hygiene and we deliver on GMP targets
Ensuring that all departmental paperwork is completed legibly and accurately following standard operating procedures.
Diligence in monitoring product quality and report any substandard products or ingredients to your Section Leader or a QA
Helping and supporting new team members and temporary workers for example by showing them how to complete tasks, answering their questions
Ensuring you operate all machinery and equipment in accordance with training/SOPs, including safety start up checks. Report any defects, wear and tear, potential machine or equipment problems or near misses to your immediate supervisor or engineering immediately.
Any other duties which may reasonably be requested of you
What we're looking for:
* Ability to communicate well in English, both written and verbally
* Numerate and literate
* Previous factory experience desirable, but not essential
In return, we can offer you a competitive online benefits programme via our Higgidy Hub, access to our Bupa Employee Assistant Programme, free on shift refreshments and access to Wi-Fi, as well as a generous annual leave allowance which increases with every years' service.
At Higgidy we think of ourselves as a big family and family is how we aim to treat everyone - therefore we strive to create a workplace in which people from all backgrounds are encouraged to contribute and succeed. Our aim is that no job applicant, temporary worker or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender and transgender status, race and ethnicity, religion and belief (including no belief), marriage or civil partnership status or sexual orientation
