cGBP35,000 - GBP40,000 basic with bonus
A fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected and highly successful Manufacturer who design, manufacture and distribute productivity tools & survey and laser equipment, amongst many other things .
Duties and responsibilities:
Undertake the service and repair of all makes of survey and laser equipment.
Ensure that the hire fleet is maintained and available for hire.
Liaise with customers as required, providing quotations, requesting order numbers, and preparing invoices.
Deal with technical inquires received from customers.
Ensure the proper control of all branch held equipment that requires calibration via an external service and to maintain records produced from such calibrations.
Arrange third party repair work.
Provide quotes and invoices for repair and service work.
Complete hire documentation, i.e., calibration certificates.
Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.
Maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations; respecting the rights of Data Subjects and ensuring that personal data is processed and described in the Company's Data Protection Policy.
Assist in other areas of the company's operations (within capabilities) and other duties as required.
Persons specification:
Previous experience of working within as a Service Technician or similar role servicing or repairing hardware with embedded software.
Experience in the handling of electronic assemblies (ESD, EOS, safe handling).
Competence in the navigation of circuit diagrams and assembly drawings.
A methodical and logical approach to work.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles and processes to providing first class customer services.
Strong communication and coordination skills, enabling clear and accurate delivery of information to key stakeholders.
Good organisation skills, with the ability to manage various deadlines and duties.
Good problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and creative solutions.
Essential skills/experience required:
Minimum 3 years' experience in complete strip down and rebuild of Robotic Total stations.
Minimum 3 years' experience in delivering training to existing and apprentice Technicians.
Previous experience in setting up full Survey workshops to include lasers, optical instruments and baseline set up.
Previous experience in managing quotations and customer disputes with repair and servicing quotations
