Technical Compliance Coordinator

A fantastic technical opportunity has become available with a successful Fresh Produce specialist, working as Technical Compliance Manager with an energetic and passionate technical team.
The position of Technical Compliance Manager will take responsibility for technical compliance within the business and ensure all suppliers meet compliance standards and expectations.
Key responsibilities include;
Ensure all suppliers are aware of company ethical expectations, SMETA standards, and SEDEX registrations / self-assessment are complete
Review and deliver all suppliers compliance against the ETI Base Code and SMETA, SIZA, RT, RFA, WEITA standards
Manage the supplier approval systems to ensure compliance with legislation and customers COP's
Work closely with 3rd party auditors appointed by and working on behalf of the business
Manage audit schedules for sites and suppliers in the UK and abroad
Review suppliers annually
We require;
Experience in a Technical Compliance function, having worked within the Fresh Produce / Fresh Food sector
Previous supplier management, confident with Due Diligence, Compliance, and Legislation
Management of a team with a technical / compliance focus beneficial
Thorough understanding of Food Safety and Quality Systems
Confident IT skills, with exposure to Prophet highly beneficial
A high level of attention to detail and data gathering ability
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Hours; Monday - Friday, with some flexibility as required
Salary; Dependent on experience offered; up to GBP30-40k + bonus
Location; Kent
The upper end of the salary being offered to a high calibre candidate who has the relevant experience, aptitude and demonstrable leadership qualities to join them and hit the ground running.
