Associate Manager Statistics
Adelphi Real World is a global consultancy in healthcare. We collect and interrogate real world data to aid the pharmaceutical industry in understanding the management and treatment of specific diseases. This understanding informs the successful development of pipeline assets and the positioning of inline products. Real world data can also be used to leverage Health Outcomes / Economic argumentation through statistically validated publications.
The role:
To join the Statistics and Data Analysis team (S&DA) in providing support and development on analysis for Adelphi Real World. You would be conducting complex data manipulation and analysis of real-world data sources to meet clients' real-world evidence needs. Your work would support various study teams and research projects.
This role would suit someone with experience of working with data sources (i.e. interrogation, manipulation and analysis), who is looking for a new role where they can develop and broaden their existing research skills in a commercial environment.
This is a manager level role so you would be expected to contribute to the development, expansion, and growth of an existing team. The S&DA team is growing rapidly to ensure sufficient support can be provided to all other teams when responding to client's needs.
Your responsibilities would include:
* Contributing to the design of real-world studies.
* Advising study teams and clients on the suitability of proposed methods to address research objectives.
Writing appropriate sections within study protocols (e.g. sample size, statistical methods, data analysis etc.) for review by clients and other review committees, Writing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), incorporating statistical methods, objective-specific analyses, and table shells.
* Performing statistical and data analysis in statistical packages (primarily Stata).
* Writing programming code in statistical packages to address data manipulation and variable creation.
* Writing programming code in statistical packages to conduct analysis (e.g. descriptives, regression, propensity score methods).
* Writing reports on analysis conducted and results obtained, interpreting and summarising statistical output
* Presenting and summarising analysis to study teams, and clients
* Assisting in the development of a team and coordination of resources:
* Assisting in training and developing individuals within the team, with support from other senior team members.
* Assisting in ensuring that all studies are sufficiently resourced from a statistical/analytical perspective, including liaison with other senior members of the team to align on team capacity/workload.
* Taking on line management responsibility for junior analysts within the team.
The candidate:
An ideal candidate would satisfy the following:
?? Substantial experience and proficiency in writing scripts for use in statistical software (e.g. Stata, R, SAS, SPSS, Python).
?? Substantial experience of conducting data manipulation and analysis of large/complex data sources.
?? Experience of contributing towards, or developing, study protocols and/or SAPs.
?? Some managerial experience and/or prior experience of training, developing and mentoring individuals.
?? A drive to help shape the future structure and success of the S&DA team.
?? Hold a good honours degree (2:1 or 1st) in a numeric/analytical discipline or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
?? A high level of numeracy, analytical, and interpretive skills, with a close attention to detail.
?? Strong written and verbal communication skills and a confident communicator.
?? A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team.
?? Good organisational and time management skills.
?? Proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment and the use of Microsoft Office.
