West Sussex Council are looking for a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer - (Communications) to join their team.

We are looking for someone to do 18.5 hours (very flexible on days/times) - initial contract length 6 months but may be until March 2022.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated senior communications professional to oversee and run our communications campaigns for our Proud to Care initiative. You will have experience in leading and shaping campaigns and generating content for a variety of channels. You will have a very good understanding of social media and digital communications and will have experience working with broadcast and print media to promote campaigns.

You will be an excellent communicator with an ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation and create great content. The role is part of the wider County Council's Communications and Engagement Team where there is lots of support and opportunities to learn new skills.

You will work exclusively with the Proud to Care team on it's exciting programme of activities which specifically looks to recruit and encourage more people to consider working in social care. We need you to contribute content to our own website, manage our facebook account and carry out digital advertising and regularly interview carers to get great insight and case studies to feature and inform our campaigns.

Pay rate: GBP17.06 per hour PAYE / GBP20.96 per hour Umbrella PAYE
