Are you a dedicated Recruitment and HR professional looking to be part of a dynamic, award winning Nationwide business?

If so Mears are now looking to source a Talent Acquisition Manager to drive and deliver an exemplary full-service recruitment lifecycle which will also incorporate projects and initiatives involving the wider HR business.

The Role

Reporting to Head of HR shared services the Talent Acquisition Manager will be a pivotal link between managing a recruitment team of 5 highly established Recruiters and HR administration. You will manage day to day operations across high volume recruitment solutions, utilising the innovative Workday recruitment system. You will Investigate and determine employee needs. Develop sustainabletalent acquisitionand hiring plans and strategies.

As a team they are established to recruit across a vertical platform in a sector specific model: volume recruitment across care, housing management, facilities, repairs, and subsidiary based stakeholders.

Your background may include: Talent Acquisition Management, Recruitment Manager, Resourcing and Planning Manager, Internal Recruitment with a cross over into HR functions or shared services.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • The ability to drive and deliver recruitment objectives alongside HR agenda and compliance frameworks. An awareness of HR practice and understanding of compliance regulations, EDI, inclusion and Diversity.
  • The vision to develop people plans and drive business improvements, maintaining a fluid crossover with HR and internal process requirements.
  • Liasing with all levels of management throughout the business to achieve the principle accountabilities. Communicating across a broad range of departments and hiring managers driving recruitment strategies that retain and uphold the Mears culture and ethos.
  • Interface and engage with stakeholders at a senior level, reporting on KPI's providing insightful trends and analytics to ensure the central service continues to improve
  • Provide innovative solutions to advertising and sourcing trends, developing resourcing plans that promote Mears as a brand of choice within a competitive marketplace. Ensure that best in class candidates are appropriately sourced and professionally managed to provide a coordinated approach that delivers value for money.
  • Identify and deploy effective quality and value for money attraction strategy that link to the Group marketing strategy whilst developing the Employer Branding - engaging with support from the Communications and Marketing team to support the positioning of Mears as an Employer of Choice in the market.
  • Review, design and implement end to end recruitment processes and strategies to be able to promote the productivity of the centralised recruitment function.
  • To ensure that a fair recruiting practise is delivered by the Inhouse Recruitment team and upholds the Groups equality, diversity and inclusion policy

  • We are looking to meet candidates who have a background in developing, implementing and maintaining effective recruitment methods and strategies.
  • You will have a background in Managing and developing recruitment teams, Engaging with business leaders
  • Demonstrable experience of working with various ATS, experience of working with Workday as an applicant tracking system would be advantageous.
  • Strong relationship builder, excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing workloads
  • Strong commercial skills and business acumen with the ability to work on own initiative meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to lead by example in a hands on capacity. Highly Driven and motivated
  • Emotionally resilient - ability to handle pressure well and to exercise emotional control.
  • Ability to provide inspirational and motivational leadership
