Our client are a utilities company who are well-established, serving 2.8 million customers across the South West, focusing on environment, sustainability and local communities. They are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join their busy team, initially for a fixed term of 6 months with the potential to secure a permanent role.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be switched on, methodical, proactive, able to think outside the box and have excellent attention to detail. As a company who pride themselves on delivering a professional, high quality service to their customers, first class customer service skills are essential.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Deliver exceptional customer service, providing helpful advice by telephone, letter and email
Distribute copies of asset plans and application forms as required
Administer and acknowledge all new applications and correspondence
Process credit card transactions and record incoming payments
Maintain accurate and full records of all correspondence via our in-house systems
Produce confined spaces permit cards for approved contractors
Following company policy and procedure to ensure that targets are met
Build strong working relationships with external and internal customers
Schedule CCTV and visitor appointments

A good standard of education, minimum 5 GCSE's grade C or above including English and maths
The ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with colleagues and customers
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
A willingness to adapt and respond to change
Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft Office
For candidates with the enthusiasm to learn, full training will be given. We would like to hear from candidates who have previous customer service experience, this could be from an office, retail or hospitality environment.
