Here at HM Land Registry, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Software Developer or a Senior Software Developer based at any of our 14 office locations. This is a permanent position and can be flexible working, full-time, job share, or part-time. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP27,130 - GBP38,448 per annum (GBP33,839 plus a non-pensionable IT allowance of GBP4,609 is payable on day one of the role for the HEO role. Croydon salary has London weighting of GBP37,290 + non pensionable IT allowance = GBP41,899).

In the Software Developer team you will be developing digital services which enable over GBP1 trillion worth of lending to be secured against property across England and Wales. You will build some of the UK's most important digital systems. You will use and learn a wide range of technologies including Java, Python, Postgres, React and OpenShift and collaborate with experts in multiple fields including Design, User Experience and Architecture to deliver new business capabilities.
What we're looking for in our Software Developer:
We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:
- Demonstrate experience in Software development AND/OR have an IT qualification in a related area (Degree level or equivalent) The ability to code in at least one language as Python, Java or similar.
