Quality Auditor (Shift) - Selsey Site
About the role:

You will be working at our Selsey Manufacturing site which is the biggest baby leaf factory within Europe!
We are one of the largest employers in the Chichester area, employing more than 1,200 talented individuals and we are growing!
A day in the life of a Natures Way Foods QA:
We make delicious salad meals, coleslaw, potato salad, bagged salads and leafy salad bowls. Our products are stocked by leading Retail supermarkets & restaurant chains and consumed by millions of customers in the UK, so you may well have eaten something made by us!
As a core member of the Quality Auditing team you will be responsible for ensuring the highest food safety and quality of our products. Our products have a short shelf life and raw material can be impacted by the weather, seasons and many other factors.
You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing product food safety and quality, systems, processes, procedures & GMP to ensure they comply with internal and customer requirements and specification, including auditing and closure of non-conformances. You will be carrying out GMP swabbing, DQA, shelf life and other assessments to ensure our products are safe and of high quality.
Food safety is extremely important to us so you must be a good communicator and confident to stop the production line if you feel we need to assess anything.
No two days are the same and although you will have regular tasks to complete you will also have autonomy to plan your day around these priorities.
You will use our AX system so some IT skills would be good as well as a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring food safety.

2 week rolling Panama Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7am - 7pm
Week 2: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 7am - 7pm
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7pm - 7am
Week4: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 7pm - 7am

Responsibilities:
Ensure that the product quality & safety standards are maintained at all times and that the product that is manufactured meets the customer's specification and is legally compliant in all aspects.
Ensure that our factories are audit ready at all times and the strict GMP standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing site.
Conduct scheduled auditing of safety, legality and GMP standards of the site
Carry out regular documented checks on all areas and lines of manufacture and packing, including paperwork checks to ensure correct completion.
Carry out validation and verification of processes according to schedule
Monitor lines during production and report any issues in relation to quality or product safety.
Carry out sampling, checks, tests, swabbing and other conformance requirements according to required schedules, including logging of samples into laboratory system.
Conduct documented investigations and close out non-conformances, using Root Cause Analysis.
Complete records and logs for all activities according to procedure.
Prepare, audit and file paperwork for lines & mixing process.
Pest control checks where required.
Carry out specified projects.
Follow safe ways of working & site procedures, reporting near misses & any accidents or incidents when they occur
About you:
Previous experience of working in a Quality Auditing role in food manufacturing is very desirable however we would also be interested in hearing from people with a knowledge and understanding of food safety from a production, logistics or hygiene background.
