We are working with a well-established family business that manufacture highly specialist structural and architectural steel products for the construction market.
The majority of their work is design and manufacture of specialist balconies for residential developments.
Due to continued growth and a full order book the company has moved to a new assembly facility based in Scunthorpe. This site assembles various components into finished products before they are transported to site.
This role will work closely with the Director to ensure products are assembled on time meeting production schedules and manage a small team.
As Production Manager, you will report to the Director and be responsible for:
* Managing a team of 7 Assembly operatives
* Daily production and KPI's
* Delegating tasks and driving the team forward to achieve targets, setting goals and deadlines clearly
* Organising workflow and increasing production, efficiency, outputs, and effectiveness
* Co-ordinating cross functional training within the department and monitoring training requirements
* Assessing and reviewing staff performance (feeding back both constructive and positive) supporting and guiding your team
* Quality control
* Implementing procedures
To be the successful Production Manager, you must have
* Production Management experience
* Experience of managing a team
* Construction, Industrial or Manufacturing experience
* The ability to lead by example
* Experience of delivering training and ability to assess your team performance
* Knowledge of Lean
* Knowledge of quality control
