Materials and Manufacturing Manager
Chester Area
GBP55,000 package DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension
8:15am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm Friday Finish
Materials and Manufacturing Manager required due to continued growth for a leading manufacturer within their industry. This is a great opportunity to join a technical leader within their industry who manufacture equipment supplied on a global scale to a blue-chip customer base within a range of industries.
To apply for this role you will have experience within manufacturing and will have experience overseeing the procurement of materials and managing manufacturing processes, ideally within engineering. You will have experience using ERP systems and have experience liaising directly with suppliers. You will need strong people management skills.
The successful Materials and Manufacturing Manager will be predominantly office based where they will manage the purchasing team overseeing relationships and liaising with suppliers. You will oversee four people within purchasing and two within logistics and shipping. You will be responsible for leading a project to refine operational systems to minimise costs and inventory levels through the development of the ERP linked to production.
You will also oversee the production department, consisting of 12 shop floor members and a team leader. You will ensure production run smoothly and adheres to ISO9001 quality standards. You will be a key driver of continuous improvements and will rectify any issues that arise.
