Hands on Healthcare are delighted to be working with a reputable Health and Social care provider, who excel in providing community-based, health and social care to individuals with particular needs, including physical, emotional, learning, behavioural, psychological and social difficulties.
Our Client is currently recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis. The Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of assistant service managers and support workers to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to service users.
To be considered for the role of Service Manager, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in a front line managerial and leadership position
* Service team leadership, management, planning, organising, supervisory and development skills
* Experience of working within a health and social care setting, providing support to service users with complex needs
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
The Service Manager will undertake front line leadership and ensure that employees within the service are engagaged, competent, punctual, skilled and respectful. Other duties and responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:
* Role modeling and supporting 'on rota', 'Local On-Call' at weekends where needed
* Delivering successful; structured support, teaching, coaching, mentoring and developing each team member ensuring learning is put into daily practice
* Applying profession employment welfare practices and standards
* Consistently ensuring delivery of each person's support and risk management plans achieving agreed 'forecasted outcomes' with each individual
* Providing proactive and effective budgeting and resource management
* Being adaptable to meet the changing needs of the role
