Could you be part of our amazing Seashell Active team who are dedicated to supporting and enabling young people to be active?
We are recruiting for CADS Crew members to join our fun and energetic team who make a difference every time they come to work! These are casual positions, and the hours of work are during school holidays and at weekends.
Role Summary
Seashell CADS, a fully inclusive sports, health and leisure programme is looking for team members to help support and encourage disabled children and young people to be active, at our established and trusted events.
The CADS programme delivers and develops high quality inclusive holiday and weekend events that cater for a variety of children and young people, which include our students and residents at Seashell and also young people from the community.
We are looking for people who would like to work on a one to one basis with disabled young people enabling them to be included, supported and have fun at our events!
The hours
We have hours available during school holidays and weekends and evening work to support operations and to work alongside our specialist Seashell Active Team.
- School holidays: Monday – Friday 9.00- 4.00pm
- Saturday CADS: 9.00-5.00pm
- Other hours available to cover facility shifts and events

Responsibilities will include:

To support children and young people with varied support needs, providing one to one support, enabling them to be included and encourage them to take part in the CADS events

To provide personal care and support young people with other cares needs such as feeding and drinking

To work as part of a team at CADS supporting Team Leaders and the CADS Co-ordinator to deliver successful and enjoyable events

To support a diverse group of children and young people from the community

To support a Coach or Deliverer to ensure all elements of activity are inclusive.

To actively support all children and young people in a range of activities at CADS including swimming (on site)

To be flexible when working with different children and young people and with different age ranges.

Requirements
• GCSE A – C in English and Maths (or level 2 equivalent)
• Ability to work as part of a team, to enable cohesive and effective team working
• Good time keeping
• Reliable
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the posts which requires substantial walking, standing, lifting, bending, working on the floor, twisting and pushing any wheelchairs and other equipment on the premises and taking part and encouraging physical activity with children and young people.
