We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Part Time Speech & Language Therapist to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the therapy service based in Dorset.
The service provides a place where students can learn and express themselves in a nurturing and safe environment that understands their needs and supports them to fulfil their potential.
Key Responsibilities for Speech & Language Therapist:
* Provide a high standard of speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people, including advice and training to relevant parents, carers and professionals in line with proposed treatment plans.
* Assessment, review and monitor the progress of new and current students using a combination of formal and informal test materials and tools.
* Formulate, evaluate and review individualised speech and language therapy treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills and utilising a wide range of treatment options to formulate a specialised programme of care.
* Setting and reviewing communication targets, strategies, and annual review reports.
* Liaising with staff and students so that therapy techniques and strategies can be disseminated and feedback obtained.

* Delivery of both direct and indirect speech and language therapy interventions.
* Attending regular staff meetings to promote a multidisciplinary team approach and to provide specialist advice relating to the appropriate.
* Contribute to and attend multi-disciplinary meetings such as behaviour support planning.
* Maintaining a CPD diary and engaging in the appraisal process.
The salary for the Part Time Speech & Language Therapist role is GBP21,121 based on 24-hour contract. Your required days of work will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Successful Speech & Language Therapist must have:
* Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
* Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
* Qualification in dysphagia (or a willingness to undertake)
