Smart Recruitment are seeking a Hygiene / H&S Supervisor to support a local food business with the upkeep of their hygiene, health and safety standards.
You will do this through the effective deployment of resources, forward planning and continuous improvement. To ensure H&S policies are up to date and followed across the factory, helping to ensure a food safe environment.
Duties would include the following:
Ensuring hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, practises and equipment are continually re-evaluated in line with best practise, customer guidelines and legislation.
Cleaning and disinfecting all utensils, production areas and machinery parts. Ensure washing up area is kept clean and tidy.
Maintaining Hygiene to a high standard.
Completion of hygiene schedules.
Cleaning, disinfection, preparation and damage checking of production equipment/utensils.
Ensuring availability of clean tubs, utensils and machine parts.
Cleaning of the external facilities (i.e. yard and car park).
Cleaning of the staff facilities (i.e. offices, washrooms, changing areas, etc.).
Ensure storage of cleaning equipment is performed to the company standards.
Reposition of consumable within the site (production and staff facilities).
Ensure Cleaning Records are completed appropriately/accordingly.
Control of consumables and chemicals stock.
Laundry control (arrange deliveries, preparing the dirty laundry for collection, receive clean clothing and stock up coat lockers).
Performing COSSH Training annually.
Performing Health & Safety Risk Assessments and ensure they are kept up to date.
Ensure H&S policies are up to date and followed
The position is 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, but some flexibility with hours worked may be required, but only to make sure the job is done and their customers continue to be delighted.
You'll need to bring demonstrable experience of working in a hygiene role. You'll need to be eager, high energy and confident to be able to succeed in the role.
