Your role

This role will report into to the NSE Business Resilience Integration Lead as part of a newly established NSE Resilience managed service. Working to an Assistant Manager in the team the role will involve direct engagement with partners and staff across all areas of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining elements of NSE's business resilience (BR) capability and structure, whilst helping align the existing capability and documentation to new ways of working.

Working closely with stakeholders within the NSE Business Resilience Integration team it offers the opportunity to deliver key elements of the firm's business resilience (BR) programme. It also provides an opportunity to observe work at the highest levels whilst developing in depth knowledge across crisis management, business continuity and IT disaster recovery (ITDR).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the NSE central resilience team in preparation for a pan-NSE accreditation to ISO 22301: 2019 Business Continuity Management Standard
  • Support the development and maintenance of Business Continuity (BC) and Crisis Management (CM) documentation across all NSE geographies
  • Support pan-NSE BC and CM training, awareness and exercising development and delivery
  • Undertake an active role in incident response work, including post incident reporting and analysis
  • Support the implementation of lessons identified during both incidents and training
  • Undertake monitoring of and respond to client facing service line requests
  • Support on project work targeted at enabling continuous improvement of the firm's business resilience capabilities and risk management processes
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Your professional experience

  • Some knowledge or experience in Business resilience desireable, however the candidate will be invested in to uplift these skills
  • An enthusiasm for developing skills in security and risk management and a desire for continued learning are essential
  • Programme/project management experience would be an advantage
  • Good time management skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure, and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical mind set
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, as well as close attention to detail
