Trainee Pastry Chef (Organic Artisan Patisserie)

GBP10 p/h (GBP20,280 per annum) + Training and Development Opportunities + Pension + Optional Healthcare Packages Available + 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday + 50% lunch discount

Morning Shift (6am-2pm) 39 hours a week

Trainee Pastry Chef sought in a high quality organic production team working within a picturesque setting in the Cotswolds.

The role will suit someone with experience working in a food production environment looking to work under a master artisan patisserie chef. Any experience making patisseries would be advantageous but training is provided on the job so anyone with the drive and interest to work in this environment to a high standard should apply. Anyone working in a fast moving production kitchen with exposure to health and safety and food safety standards will have an advantage.

The core function of the role will be to work within a team of 10 people under the master artisan chef to interpret recipes to ensure all ingredients are prepared and measured precisely to order. You will bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and other confectionary, always ensuring you are working in a clean and efficient fashion minimising wastage. You will have an attention to detail and good communication skills in order to communicate effectively with colleagues. You will be driven by high standards of work and work towards those set by the Soil Association and SALSA.

The role in brief:

* Work within a team of 10 people under the master artisan chef

* Interpret recipes to ensure all ingredients are prepared and measured precisely to order

* Bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and other confectionary

* Work to a very high standard in a clean and efficient fashion minimising wastage

* You will work towards standards set by the Soil Association and SALSA.

The Person:

* Experience working in a food production environment will be advantageous although not essential as training will be provided

* Interest and drive to work under master artisan bakers in a high quality organic production environment

* Any exposure to working in a fast moving production kitchen with exposure to food safety standards will have an advantage

* You will be driven by high standards of work, good attention to detail and good communication skills in order to communicate effectively with colleagues
