We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer. The main purpose of the role is to maintain and support all critical infrastructure and services that run across the systems.

Responsibilities within this role will include:
Corrective and preventative maintenance through incident, problem and change management processes
Maintains all systems, hardware, security, and monitoring tools
Maintains the backup plan using Veeam
Maintains the storage and server cluster environments
Recommends software and hardware upgrades, patches and/or replacement
Undertakes server patching within agreed timescales
Provides technical support and investigations of IT related problems and coordinate the implementation of the appropriate solution with the central support team.
Dealing with ticket escalations via the web help desk system.
Undertake maintenance work outside of the standard working hours pattern
Attending data centres as and when required to maintain hardware/complete changes
To be successful within this role you will have the following;

Knowledge of the following technologies:
Active Directory & Group Policy Management
Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Windows OS 8.1, 10 Troubleshooting & Maintenance
MS Exchange 2016
Kaspersky AV
Veeam Backup
WSUS
SCCM Management & Configuration
Microsoft Hyper V and other virtualisation management technologies
Dell Hardware, Compellent & EqualLogic SAN's and PowerEdge Servers
System monitoring tools
Solar Winds Web Helpdesk
Jira & Confluence
Strong expertise and experience in cluster environments required.
Must have knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN'S, VPN and WLAN.
Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritise
Knowledge of ITIL practices
Must have the ability to participate within a technical team
Ability to develop technical documentation for the non-technical user.
