The Company: An established global manufacturing business specialising in highly innovative products is currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with strong mechanical design skills to join their team.
The Role: You will be responsible for all aspects of new projects from initial concept through to release to production and beyond. You will:
* Interpret customer requirements, define specifications and develop technically innovative solutions to meet the schedule and budgetary requirements of the project
* Design and develop new products to meet customer requirements
* Validate new product designs through appropriate prototyping, testing and DFMEA
* Prepare design documentation and provide technical support to new bids
* Liaise with customers, suppliers and all stakeholders during enquiry, NPI and manufacturing stages
The Candidate: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
* Ideally qualified to HNC/ HND or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering and/ or have a Mechanical Design background with a good grasp of fundamental design principles
* Previous experience designing new products from concept through to delivery is essential
* Competency using 3D CAD is essential
