Organic Chemist

As an Organic Chemist you will be responsible for the synthesis and development of new products in line with the Research and Development Pipeline.

You will work on several exciting projects conducting synthesis at the mg-kg scale. The projects are varied providing opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of chemistries and organic chemistry techniques.

The Role:

• You will be responsible for the design of novel materials and recommendations to solve chemical synthetic issues.
• Execution of planned projects within the R&D programme, setting timelines, delivering, and reporting results in a timely manner.
• Process scale-up and transfer from R&D to manufacturing operations, both internal and external.
• Developing and evaluating new synthetic chemistry procedures and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct multi-step synthesis and laboratory scale up to production.
• Provide synthetic chemistry expertise to deliver custom synthesis projects.

The Candidate:

• Educated to degree level in Chemistry / Science / Materials or related field.
• A final-year organic synthesis research project would be desirable.
• A good knowledge and understanding of organic chemistry.
• Enthusiasm to learn and a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of team.
