The successful candidate will be demonstrating a willingness to learn the role of an IT technician with additional responsibilities for IT system support and eventually will take ownership on key business applications.

Vacancy description
As an IT Support Technician, you will be assisting in monitoring and maintaining the IT infrastructure of our valued clients
Work will include both proactive and reactive support over a wide range of different systems from VoIP phone systems to backup solutions and productivity suites such as Office 365
You will use a ticket system to record and analyse client problems as well as work with other support providers to find the solution to our client's problem
Problems will be resolved over the phone, using remote desktop software or at the client's site in a face-to-face environment (where appropriate)
You will be part of enthusiastic, talented, and friendly team with access to the most up to date technology and effective support network available today
As technical support, you may also be known as a helpdesk operator, technician, or maintenance engineer.

Desired qualifications5 GCSEs including English and maths (or the equivalent).

The successful candidate will have a clean driver's licence and access to a car will be essential for the role as travelling to client sites will be required. They will be comfortable communicating with clients where support and reassurance is required. An understanding of technical principles and experience of Microsoft Windows and/or Apple Mac computers is essential with experience in a support role, repairing computers or other client facing experience is a good advantage
