In the ICT Support Officer job, you will be:

Providing efficient ICT support and maintenance of the IT, communications and multimedia services for all users
Installing, removing and replacing software and hardware across all buildings and vehicles, as well as offering technical advice, guidance and training to users
Assisting the wider ICT team with the implementation of new initiatives relating to IT and communications and producing technical supporting documentation
Representing the department and service in meetings, seminars, presentations, training and development courses, both locally and regionally
Supporting, maintaining and developing of a variety of information systems, mobile technology, alerting services and managing assets and spares
Undertaking a range of additional ICT duties
The ideal candidate for the ICT Support Officer role will need:

To be self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities to successful conclusion
Problem solving and strong communication skills, both written and verbally, to provide effective and successful technical resolution to the user
To be educated to HNC level or equivalent in an ICT related subject
Experience of working within an ICT environment
A good working knowledge of current and older Microsoft server-based systems, operating systems and applications
The ability to work confidentially and with integrity
Ability to meet deadlines and work with speed, under pressure
A valid full UK Driving licence
To be able to hold a simple conversation at Welsh Level 2 - this is to be achieved within a 12-month probation period, with support provided as appropriate
This is a permanent vacancy, working 37 hours per week on an annual salary of GBP24,982 - GBP27,741 per annum plus company benefits.

Please note, you will also provide out of hours ICT on-call cover on a rota basis. (Pay is inclusive of 8.5% pay allowance for providing out of hours cover)

The role is normally located in Conwy, however staff are currently working remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the ability to continue agile working in the future.
