London Teaching Pool is currently seeking for an experienced support worker to join our care team to provide support and promote the independence of our client in Colchester.

The female client is aged between 30 - 35 years and is diagnosed with learning disability and autism spectrum. The client will need a 2:1 support to access the community and engage with planned activities, such as swimming and visiting the zoo.

The preferred support worker should have experience with providing support with similar clients and also ensure they will be able to engage the client with age appropriate activities, Experience and qualification in PMVA (De escalation techniques) is beneficial but not essential, however the support worker must be consistent and a car driver, including having a good local knowledge within Colchester and surroundings , as you will drive the client to some activities.

This is a full time role, with shift pattern ranging from Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm (Week 1 35 hours) and in Week 2 and additional 8 hours (Week 2 43 hours) on one of the day in the weekends to provide Respite for the live in Carer

To provide high standards of support to service users in the community, including assistance with, escorting, budgeting and shopping
Provide Respite to Live in Carer
To be reliable, punctual and excellent duty of care
Previous support experience is preferred.
