The Accounts Clerk will report to the Company Director. The finance team is responsible for maintaining an efficient, organised and accurate finance function for the business and the Accounts Clerk will be responsible for maintaining a variety of day-to-day financial operations using Sage. You must be forward thinking and able to develop the financial deperatment as well as working on your own initiative.

Responsibilities will include:

* Ensure weekly subcontract payments are processed accurately in timely manner.
* Contacting subcontractors with any queries and requesting credit notes were required
* Building and maintaining good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
* Effectively managing the purchase ledger aged creditor reports
* Proactively and efficiently deal with internal and external queries
* Liaising with site management, commercial staff to resolve queries and facilitate approval
* Processing credit card transactions.
* Maintain cashbook and bank reconciliations
* Maintain Fixed Asset Register (Acquisition, Disposals, Depreciations)
* Manage Intercompany transactions between companies within the same organisation
* Managed timesheets for salaried staff
* Daily & weekly reporting including submitting VAT returns
* Ad hoc financial analysis


* You should either be a fully qualified or nearing completion in AAT
