We are looking for a Registered Children's Nurse - RSCN - on behalf of an Outstanding rated Children's Hospice in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Our Client provides holistic care and support to children with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families. The post holder will be required to provide care across a range of settings in the community and at the hospice.

The role of RSCN / Paediatric Nurse is full time, working 37.5 hours a week with a starting salary of GBP27,200 plus enhancements for evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Benefits include private pension scheme, death in service, out of pocket expenses and free onsite parking.

Key criteria for RSCN include:

Registered Paediatric Nurse (RSCN / RNC) with active NMC PIN?? Post registration experience of delivering care to children and families or adults with a Learning Disability in a health care setting;
?? Knowledge of current legislation relating to children & young people including best practice in safeguarding children
?? Experience of working within a professional multi-disciplinary team
?? Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care across a range of environments in the community and in the hospice setting
?? Evidence of a proactive approach to the care delivery process;
?? Good written and oral communication skills;
?? Ability to problem solve;
?? Able to plan and manage own time;
?? Ability to work as part of a team with an enthusiastic approach to work;
?? A flexible attitude and approach to the changing work environment and to provide the flexibility of service required by the families seeking our care services
?? Evidence of commitment to own continuing professional development

As this role involves working out in the community, you will need to have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

This role will involve evening, waking night and weekend work on a rota basis and so flexibility is essential.
