Independent Restaurant, Stunning Venue
Our Independent clients are looking to recruit a senior sous chef to join the team in this exciting venue which has only been going a few years, so is still in a position to take on new ideas and innovations and is commutable to Leeds & Manchester, to assist the head chef in managing the team of 10 chefs, to provide fresh modern Italian dining in this stunning venue.
The Venue has 2 kitchens, and a purpose built outside pizza oven, they make their own pasta, pizza dough, all desserts, and provide a very professional and structured environment to allow the chefs to work to their full potential every day.
The salary reflects the desire the owner have to get in the right chef, offering 5 straight shifts a week, as the venue is closed for 2 days a week, this really is a superb opportunity for a career minded chef, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
-Experience managing teams in a fast paced kitchen, & currently working in a senior sous or even a head chef position.
-Being a calm, engaging chef, who can enthuse junior chefs, and lead by example, no old school shouty chefs here.
-Experience working in a modern style Italian restaurant, with understanding of home made pasta styles & Techniques.
-A career working in fresh food led kitchens, everything is made from scratch here, so an understanding of seasonal produce and a sound cooking background is essential, be it from hotel, restaurant or quality gastro pub.
-An understanding of all the latest H&S, allergen, COSSH & HACCP requirements and regulations.
-A sound understanding of kitchen management, costings, waste control, budgets & menu planning.
