They are now seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join their diverse friendly and professional team in Scunthorpe on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. You will be joining a company who is growing and on a mission of preserving food and the planet by offering high quality, eco-friendly products to their customers.
THE ROLE:
Your job as a Shift Supervisor will be to:
*Coordinate activities on designated shift according to Production Supervisor and Operations Managers directions.
*Ensure all lines are run efficiently and product is to customer specification.
*Ensure all PPE is worn by all staff.
*Ensure any staff shortages are dealt with appropriately.
*To coordinate wet end and hot end to ensure production plan is followed.
*To be aware of site KPI's and complete daily reports.
*Ensure the site is secure out of office hours.
*To keep high levels of housekeeping in Production and Warehouse areas.
*Ensure all employees on shift are trained and knowledgeable.
*Coordinate staff training with Production Supervisor and Quality Coordinator.
*Ensure a smooth shift handover is carried out with all quality aspects reported to the starting Shift Coordinator.
Hours of work are a 3 week rotating shift patterns to cover
*Week one: Monday to Saturday (Apply online only) (37.5 hours)
*Week two: Monday to Saturday (Apply online only) (37.5 hours)
*Week three: Monday to Friday (Apply online only) (37.5 hours)
With a potential in the future in moving to 4 on 4 off.
THE CANDIDATE:
*Strong organisational skills
*Solutions driven with the ability to think and work under pressure with time constraints
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Confident, flexible approach to work with the ability to respond to many different situations that may arise
*Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment
*Must have leadership experience
