Position: Analyst Programmer
Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP27,000 depending on experience
Benefits: Pension Scheme + 28 days holiday
Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
Location: Carlisle
The Role:
You will analyse, develop, and implement solutions to current code standards based on the needs of the business. You will also provide support to IT and other departments through an internal issue tracking system. This can be a varied role with many opportunities to learn new technologies. A can-do attitude towards learning new skills would be beneficial.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyse, develop, and implement solutions that support the businesses current and expected business requirements.
* Maintain and develop existing code and processes.
* Fully test code before deployment.
* Communicate when required with the user base to understand their development requirements and priorities.
* Create and update reports to suit the needs of the business.
* Provide 3rd line support to existing and developed systems where required.
Key Skills:
1. Sound knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS and SSRS) and C#.
2. Ability to learn new programming methods and technologies.
3. You can demonstrate good problem solving and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team on tasks and update the business on progress.
5. Personal ability to effectively manage your time and prioritise tasks.
6. Must be a team player that can highlight issues and their potential impacts to the business along with the ability to document any created processes.
Ideal Experience:
This position would suit a graduate or a developer with at least 1 years' experience.
