Mechanical Estimator
Mechanical Estimator sought, Derby. Girling Jones are seeking a Mechanical / HVAC Estimator to join a progressive MEP business based within their Derby offices. We require a highly motivated, dynamic, delivery focused Estimator with a keen eye for detail to join this progressive business as they continue to make their mark on the Building Services Engineering sector.
Day to day,
You will be pricing mechanical services (HVAC) within a variety of projects across all sectors across the south of the UK. You will need to assist as well as manage the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender meetings and provide data as requested and work closely with the internal design team.
What you'll need to succeed,
Have a knowledge and be conversant in the Estimation Software Package
A thorough knowledge of specifications and design drawings, whilst having the ability to do take offs for plant, pipework, etc
A proven ability to carry out value engineering to bring costs into budget
Have a basic understanding of BREEAM requirements
Have an understanding of the RIBA Stages of Design work
Degree qualified or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
